Until I bought this handy device, I’d hardly ever hook my vacuum up to my tools because it was too much bother. Then I’d find myself spending way too much time vacuuming up the mess later. The I-Socket solved my problem, and it’s effortless. It’s a cool plug-in device that automatically turns on your shop vacuum when you squeeze the switch on your power tool. So whether you’ve got a router table, power sander, circular saw, miter saw or any other tool you can hook your vacuum hose onto, you’ve got to have one. The i-Socket vacuum automator even keeps the vac running for a few seconds after you shut off the tool to evacuate the dust still in the hose.
I do a lot of custom cabinet installation and keep one with my install tools for the job site. It keeps the customer satisfied when the dust ends up in the vac instead on the sofa. Using a vac attached to your tool is far superior to using the factory supplied dust bag attachment. And you don’t have to remember to walk over and turn the vacuum on. And let’s face it, too much saw dust is toxic; your health is worth it.

Just another woody from down under wondering if there is a 240V version?
I agree with Jack Norton is there any contact we can make to find a 230v system with an AUS style plug, it would be a great asset in any workshop.
I have one of these from Sears and it's great except it doesn't have an over-ride mode for when I want to clean up around the scroll saw. I could connect a dummy device to make it think I'm using a tool but that's really a waste. I may have to make a modification to it when the warranty expires.
If my vacuum comes on before my radial arm saw is up-to-speed, it trips the GFI on the wall socket. Is there a delay setting to prevent this? Saw on for 3-4 seconds before vacuum turns on?
Is there one for 240 Volts?? We woodies down under could do with such a device
This attachment works great, just one big problem. The way it is constructed it want stay plugged into the socket. I finally had to strap it into place which isn't a great idea safty wise.
