Get a grip

Body mechanics are an important part of using a plane. Rob has tips for you that cover everything from where and how you should stand to how you should position your hands on the plane.

Flying the plane

Are you removing too much material? Not enough? Rob will help you dial in your depth of cut to optimize what the plane can do.

Edges and faces

Practice these skills by jointing the edges of two boards (Rob shows you a great trick for getting the edges perfect) and face jointing the glued up boards. You might be surprised to learn when, in the process, Rob encourages to plane across the grain.
