what type of glue
For the end cuts, you used the fence as a reference vs a miter gauge. thoughts on why?
Wouldnt contrasting plugs /dowels look much nicer than a screw?

Question 2: can we split the difference for cutoff of the lid overage to help with grain matching in highly figured wood pieces? Mark Harris ​what was the length of the screw? about half the thickness of the side?
I have several questins but where to put them
How about cutting a thin piece off the inside cast away and glue to the bottom of the lid to create a lift off lid
