Woodworkers Guild of America has hit the jackpot today. Cause Spike Carlson is with us, and he's coming to the shop here to provide all sorts of his wisdom about woodworking and about woods, some samples of woods you can see here. So first, Spike, give us a little bit of background, where, where have you been and where'd you learn all this stuff that you know? Well, I spent 15 years as a carpenter, and then, uh Not the musical group, but the nail thing Exactly, exactly. That's where I got my nickname, Spike, was from the, from that era. I spent 15 years with Family Handyman magazine as executive editor and story producer. And now I plan on spending the next 15 years of my life writing books. And three of which you've already got done. Yup. And a fourth one you're working on. Yup. I'm working on another one now. And it's, it's kind of covers a lot of material. 'A Splintered History of Wood' has about 50 stories about the unusual and fascinating historical aspects of wood. and ridiculous, simply, 'Ridiculously Simple Furniture Projects' has Not easy to say, but easy to build. Right? And believe it or not it has ridiculously simple furniture projects in it. And then 'Woodworking FAQ' has 3 or 400 answers to the most commonly asked woodworking questions. So it's covers the spectrum. Well, it's really cool stuff. And what we're doing here, is we're taking advantage of Spike's knowledge, and we've already shot a bunch of clips that you're going to be able to look at on the Woodworkers Guild of America website, covering information about wood, like we're looking at here, and what we've got, poles going into doors, and drawers A cute little project. Everyone can do, anyone can do. And do the wine bottle thing. The wine bottle thing. You have the wine bottle, magical wine bottle holder. Yup. So from projects to tips to information about wood, a lot of information being covered, and you can find all of those clips at wwgoa.com, check them out. We're very lucky to have Spike on board with us. Really want you to take advantage of the knowledge that he brings to the shop. Thanks, Spike. And I thank you.
